Our client is a luxury 5 Star Hotel and Spa set between the borders of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with various restaurant outlets including a 2 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant, Brasserie and a busy banqueting department.
We are currently recruiting for 2 Sous Chefs to support the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the Brasserie operation and the banqueting kitchen.
The Sous Chef’s role will be to support the Executive Chef and Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen operation. You will ensure all Food Safety and Health and Safety reporting is up to date. As Sous Chef, you will assist in maintaining standards set by the Executive Chef and ensuring that quality products and ingredients are used and served at all times. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing a talented team of chefs and apprentices.
You should be enthusiastic, confident and hardworking with the ability to provide exceptional service and deliver consistently high standards. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to run service.
The requirements of the role will include:
·Relevant experience in 4-5 Star kitchens
·NVQ level 1 and 2 or similar. Level 3 beneficial
·Basic Food Hygiene certificate or Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
·Good leadership skills and a team player
·Computer awareness is essential
