Greg Anderson joins Morston Hall as Head Chef

iChef Recruitment are delighted to announce the appointment of Greg Anderson at Morston Hall in Norfolk. Greg joins the kitchen team led by Michelin Starred Chef and BBC Saturday Kitchen regular Galton Blackiston as Head Chef.

Morston Hall is an intimate country house hotel with its origin in the 17th century. It is located 2 miles from Blakeney on the North Norfolk coast. Morston Hall has won great praises from regional and national press, including East Anglia Small Hotel of the Year, also for its outstanding cuisine and high standard of accommodation. Morston Hall are the proud holders of 3 AA Rosette’s and Michelin Star award.

Originally from Scotland Greg has worked in a number of high profile kitchens including the 2 Michelin Star L’enclume in Cumbria, Gravetye Manor in Sussex as well as stints with leading Scottish chefs, Tom Kitchin and Martin Wishart.

Greg describes his food as simple, not too ‘wacky’ and ingredient led. Greg will base his menus around locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and is keen to allow the quality of the produce to shine. He will not over complicate flavours and will use classical and modern techniques when appropriate, creating dishes with 3 to 4 identifiable flavours. Greg is keen to use whole animals with a head to toe philosophy and is keen to do as much ‘from scratch’ as possible. He is keen to share these skills with his team.
